JuruQuest Consulting Sdn Bhd, Registration No. 200901002485 (845414-P) (hereinafter, “Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) values privacy. We are committed to protecting all Personal Information (as defined below) kept by us, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (“PDPA”) and the laws of Malaysia.

“Personal Information” shall means information about you which you have provided to us including but not limited to your name, username, address, telephone number, NRIC/passport number, email address, information about your transactions in relation to the services such as reward points, reward points account balances, account activities as well as any other non-public information about you that is associated with or linked to any of the foregoing data.

Collection of Personal Information

Your Personal Information may be collected from various sources including but not limited to (a) the information you provide to us; (b) the information collected by technology via the website/platform; (c) the information from third parties or other sources; or (d) the information collected from you about others.

  • The information you provide to us in order for us to perform our services and offer our products to you, including but not limited to (a) when interacting with the merchants the products and services you have purchased; or (b) when taking part in customer surveys, competitions and promotions or other written communications when you provide us feedback or contact us.
  • Information collected by technology via the website/platform. For example: “Cookies” are data files that may be downloaded to your computer when you visit our website and permit our website to identify your browser whenever you interact with our website. We use Cookies to recognize repeat visits and to collect information about our visitors. You may set your browser software to reject Cookies, but you may not be able to optimize the features of our website. In some cases, you may not be able to access our website if Cookies are disabled.
  • Information from third parties or other sources which you have given your consent to disclose information relating to you and/or where not otherwise restricted.
  • Information collected from you about others in situations where you decide to invite a third party to create an account. We will collect your and the third party’s names and email addresses in order to send an email and follow up with the third party.

  • Third Party Service Providers. We may share your Personal Information with third party service providers who may be located within or outside Malaysia (a) to provide you with the services that we offer you through the website/platform such as but not limited to our merchants, delivery of goods by delivery company; (b) to conduct quality assurance testing; (c) to facilitate creation of accounts; (d) to provide technical support; or (e) to provide other services to us.
  • Affiliates and Acquisitions. We may share some or all of your Personal Information with our joint venturers, or other companies under a common control (our “Affiliates”), in which case we will require our Affiliates to honour this Privacy Statement.
  • Third Party directed or consented to by you. We may share your Personal Information with any person directed by or consented to by you.
  • Professional Advisors. We may share your Personal Information with our professional advisors including but not limited to legal advisors, tax advisors, financial advisors, auditors, insurance brokers etc.
  • Other Disclosures. Regardless of any choices you make regarding your Personal Information, we may disclose the Personal Information if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary (a) in connection with any legal investigation; (b) to comply with relevant laws or to respond to subpoenas or warrants served on us; (c) to protect or defend our rights or property or users of the services; and/or (d) to investigate or assist us in preventing any violation or potential violation of the laws, this Privacy Statement.

We may also be required to transfer your Personal Information outside of Malaysia for the purposes and to such third parties stated in this Privacy Statement.

Access and Correction to Personal Information

To the extent allowed by the laws, you may at any time hereafter request for access to, or for correction or rectification of your Personal Information or limit the processing of your Personal Information, or seek further information from us by contacting:

Consent

If we do not receive any notification from you concerning our processing of your Personal Information, we shall proceed to continue to process the same for the purpose mentioned herein, on the basis that you have consented to our processing of your Personal Statement in accordance with our Privacy Statement. We reserve the right to decline requests that jeopardize the security and privacy of the Personal Information of others as well as requests that are impractical or not made in good faith.

Additionally, it is important to note that system-recorded Personal Information is not editable. When we delete any information, it will be deleted from the active database, but may remain in our archives. To the extent permitted by law, we may also retain your information for fraud prevention or similar purposes required by laws.

When you give us personal data or information about another person, you confirm that they have (a) authorised you to act and receive any data protection notices on their behalf; and (ii) consented to us in processing their personal data.
